Persian Cottage restaurant in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, has won Best World Cuisine at the 2022 Food Awards England, as voted for by the public.
Owner Moshen Geravandian posted on Facebook: “I’m grateful and humbled for all the kind messages received from my dear customers and friends.”
He said that the award made the business “more determined to improve the service and make this place more enjoyable to visit”.
Persian Cottage serves Persian and Mediterranean cuisine, promising “real home-made Persian cooking” from koobidehto lamb shank.
