Iran-born, but UK-based, Simi Rezai came to Bath as a student and quickly fell in love with the city.
Keen to share her love for the food of her home country, she set up her Persian cookery school, Simi’s Kitchen in 2010, where she runs classes for all skill levels.
Regular trips to Iran to see family give Simi new ideas for her classes and new ingredients to work with. But having grown up in Anglesey, Wales, and lived in both Canada and London, Simi takes inspiration from many different cultural regions and enjoys food no matter where she resides.
As a proud allotment owner, Simi also has a passion for gardening and eats and cooks seasonally. Plant-based cooking is something she incorporates into her classes as much as possible.
Unable to run her regular classes during the pandemic, Simi is currently offering a ‘journey through the Silk Route’ with weekly supper clubs. Dishes are available for pick-up or delivery in Bath.
